    Firefox issues

Well, today everytime I would open a website through firefox it would start up just fine, but then as I would click on a link (on CNN and click on a new story) it would sit there and just load and load and load.

I would then close the window and try to restart firefox, but I would then get a message stating "program already running, please close the program or restart system". I waited for about 10 minutes and then tried again, with the page working up until I clicked on another link. Finally I restarted my computer thinking this would help....I've restarted it 3 times and it's still acting weird. Any ideas? Should I just use a different browser? if so, which one?

I would reinstall Firefox, but I really don't know what's causing it.

Thanks Kirk, but before I wanted to try that, I tried something else first. I went into applications and forced the Firefox process to stop. That seems to have done it. Hopefully a reinstall wont need to happen.

I sometimes get that happen to me, do ALT+CTRL+DEL and start task manager, click the "processes" tab and further down that list you should see firefox.. End task and all should be ok.

I have no idea what causes it.

Oh! I misunderstood. I thought it persisted after you had closed the process. I usually only get that when I close FF then try to reopen it again too quickly.
