Thank you everyone for your help, what happened is my crappy fan and heatsink on my processor came loose and my processor was overheating and shutting down. I installed a new fan on the processor and it is running like a dream. Now if i could only figure out why the last level on Crysis keeps freezing on me.

It's ok, the last level sucked.

is it freezing, like totaly locking up to the point where you have to force restart your pc or is it just lagging unimaginable amounts?

If it's totally freezing then your GPU could be getting too hot, Make sure you have a good amount of air circulation not just inside the case but also around it.. You could also increase your GPU's fan sped by downloading Riva Tuner and changing the settings under "low-level system settings" and the "fan" tab..

If the game is just lagging like a b*tch then that's normal on the last level of Crysis.. Lower your settings just for the last level and you should be right.


P.S. Rivatuner will also tell you what your GPUs temps are.

P.P.S. Make sure you have thoroughly cleaned both your CPU and Heatsink of any old thermal paste and re-applied some fresh thermal paste.

No it is freezing but I can just pull up the task manager and close it, I dont have to force a restart
