Creative Fatal1ty Headset

Hi,

I bought a Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset in preparation for End War's release this Friday however I cannot get the mic to work at all. I've plugged it in every conceivable microphone hole on the case yet it still isn't being detected.

I do have a surround sound system connected to the computer and when I take the jacks out for that it still shows as it being connected and if I plug the headphones in it continues playing.

There have been some other threads about this problem but they don't solve my problem. I have the Creative X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty soundcard installed.

Go to your Sound options in the control panel and make sure your microphone is not disabled.

If it is there, your headset has a mic mute control about half way down the cord. Check it. I have the same headset on my laptop, it switches to mute surprisingly often.
