Remember i have couted it as if it was purely full of albums, even if you used a quarter of it for albums thats still 500 which is an aweful lot!
If that was still the case and space became sparce, i would just burn the lossless albums to DVDs and keep a high quality compressed file on the HDD.

They are both the same. The Xonar D1 uses PCI whilst the Xonar DX uses PCI-E (in the form of a PCI/PCI-E bridge (which doesn't work well on Nvidia chipsets))
