installing pc dvd game on computer w/o dvd

Hi
I dont know if this is the right place for this question.I have the orange box on dvd and I want to try it on my work computer.The comp I have a work has a cd drive.Can I put the game on a zip drive and install it that way or is there any other option.I really dont want to install a dvd drive on the work comp because it will be replaced soon.

Install Steam and download it from there.

Make an image of the disk, put it on a USB pen/portable HD and then install it using Daemon Tools lite.

can I download it from steam and than use my cd key.

Your steam account should auto be tied to the CD Key, install steam, logon, download, play. :)

Unless it is a Valve game, I would follow this method.

cant you make backups of the game data from steam? surely you could do that then take the backup in and install from that which would remove the need to update it once its installed.
