XFX Support SUCKS :rawr

Anyone else have problems with them?

I submitted a ticket on the 10th, still not responded too, so I called them the next week after no response, got a support staff, said they would mail me a new fan for my 8800GT, that was 2 weeks ago and there is no sign of this part. I don't want to go to hell and back over there poor service and faulty product. I am buying EVGA or BFG next time. :shakehead:

yep, i think you got the version with the crappy fan+heatsink i used to have i put the fan on 60% while gaming but was really loud and annoying

if you dont want to spend any money on third party heatsinks you could always try and reseat the HSF but if the fan is the issue then this probably wont work

Also not trying to derail this topic or anything but my dvd drive stopped being able to read DVD's after i formatted my hard-drive with a new OS today, is this just a driver update that is needed or has something more sinister happened?

Start a new thread please, you might have to go check the manufacturer's website for a firmware update and/or drivers which should help solve the problem with your drive if it is supported by the new operating system.:thumbsup:

It might just be quicker to buy a cheap aftermarket cooler. I bought the Akasa Vortexx Neo, but i think they only sell EU only.

Chances are reseating his HSF will void his warranty (not that it's proving of much use now). To be honest it kind of looks like they've cut and run from this one.

I went back and checked your ticket that I presume was closed when they sent the original fan and the replacement cooler was originally sent USPS without tracking.
