Toshiba laptop help

okay, so my dads laptop had XP on it. and it failed and needed a reformat so i installed vista basic. long story short the laptop failed so hard i gave up and installed XP SP3

the wireless internet always worked on it. but now that i installed XP i only can run wired internet. and idk how to get my wireless working. i think it dosent recognise the wireless card or soemthing but idk if the thing it says it has is it.

i need help plox or ima cry.

You'll need to find out what wireless card it is and then probably download drivers.

99% sure that's you're wired adapter, and the 1% uncertainty is only due to human error.

post your exact model of tosh lappy and i'll have a look-sie for compatible drivers...

....err....are you using a built-in radio or are you using a usb/pcmcia radio for wifi? 'cuz that makes a big hooooooge difference :)

im trying to use the built in wireless adapter ( and yes the switch is in the ON position ), i think thats what your asking.


and its a toshiba satellite laptop. not sure which Specific model it is. i will keep looking

Fixed. Downloaded wireless drivers.

took for ever to find too. the model number was scrubbed out. ****ing dumb****s put it on the bottom of the LAPtop. so it came off from using it.

Xp has no built in wireless drivers. Manufacturers just preliad them. I've encountered this issue multiple times when formatting.
