GTX260 for £201 (amongst other GPU deals)
loads of Asus motherboards with a couple of quid off
loads of CPUs with a couple of quid off
Pretty good bundle deal with Q6600 and a gigabyte P45 board
Couple of quid of most of the ram
Couple of quid off hard drives... seems good to me

Today only always has loads of good deals; it just depends whether they're doing something you want. Bear in mind that a today only deal won't show up on the standard product page.

How good is the 260 VS the 88GTX?

But the drivers for the GTX260 have improved quite a bit now so that could be bumped up :)

Hmm so there is a certain range of difference btwn the cards but not to the point of my giving up my gtx good. Cheers biscuit.

if i personally was to upgrade now it would be to a GTX 260 but if you are wanting serious increase in performance then the GTX 285 which is an updated 280 would probs be the best option... knowing Nvidia it wont be in any sensible price range though
