    Weird Internet problems

    Hello there,
this is only happening to me recently but it is really starting to annoy me, basically what happens is I open up a game lets say CS:S and i need to download a map, so it sits there saying downloading but there dosn't seem to be any progress, so I alt tab out of it, and look at my windows side bar to see what my download/upload rate is and there is nothing, just as if I was not connected to the internet, but then as soon as i am out of game it starts up again and it shows activity and the map will download when im tabbed out.. but not when im in game.

Second problem is that I am playing BF2 or something and in vent or ts at the same time, and I loose connection to the voice server, but when I tab out of game it reconnects me and all is fine again, this is very annoying when trying to do clan stuff...

Thirdly back to CS:S, at the end of a round (when everyone dies) I sort of loose connection then I have to alt tab out and come back in to make the the connection come back in game, then all is fine till the round has finished.

My Ping in servers are fine (depending which server I am in of course)
    I have 30% signal strength
    My internet speed is fine

I have forwarded appropiate ports for the games but still nothing..
    My firewall isn't blocking them

So yeah, do you guys have any idea of what would be causing this problem??
    Because I am truly stumped

    Re: Weird Internet problems

It sounds more like some type of system issue and not internet related. I am by no means a Steam expert, but maybe something needs to be adjusted in that? Do you play all your games through steam or have it running while playing?
