ye sir...and myself i have mass respect for antec for one reason, i bought 3 of them now...never had a problem!!...i b ought antec true power 650 for a crap system and it was most amazing psu experience for me..since then i ben sold i wouldent hesitate to buy one for whatever system i build..i tell ya one thing..antec knows psu!!...and thankyou for your help...

yeah. that psu would work just fine. 18A on each rail (mind ya', they're probably rated at 26A-28A total, not 36A like you'd perhaps expect),

I'm not sure of the exact figures, so don't quote me on this, but it looks to have 29 amps on the 12 volt rail. So yes, definitely not the 36 amps one might incorrectly calculate.

The image of the chart on the side of the unit shows that the 3v and 5v rails supply a total of 152 watts of power. Subtracting this from 500 watts leaves 348 watts of power for the 12 volt rail (this is where I have to start guessing. I'm assuming that's how they calculated the '500 watts' they give as the rating, though there are different ways that manufacturers will calculate that.) 348 divided by 12 is 29 and, assuming there really is 348 watts of power for the 12v rails, that means there's 29 amps on the 12 volt rails.

theorectially correct, but unless i have a voltimeter and the psu in my hand, i never assume you get the maximum rating. something or other about heat, efficiency and machines i remember from my wasted youth :)

one thing i didn't notice was that that psu only comes w/90 day warranty? my trio-650 came with a three year if i dismsmber right. shocking to see a 3-month warranty on a part from a reputable mfg.

edit...that's a 5-yr warranty with the trio series. makes me wonder why they aren't warranty-ing the basiq series for more than 90 days, unless it's a misprint or i'm reading things wrong.

ok this case..absolutely has me jelous now..its complete with all the fans and everything ...i just orderd myself one..this thing look sexy ..my goodness sexyness with the lights and fans in there..its redicklious ...i tossing out my asus vento 150$ case for this..
not to mention her board runs nearly 20c cooler then mine because of the cooling i bet..!!!!!!!!!!!!
