Just a short one today. It is impossible to do any large voltmods without touching either the 2B pencil or soldering iron. However, BIOS flashing can add just a bit more voltage to enable your card to reach it's full potential. I'll show you how:
1:
We need to create that bootable USB pen. I covered how to do this in an earlier guide, so read points 1 & 2 here. Now, download the following file:
ATIFlash 3.6: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads...lash_3.60.html
Then download the appropriate BIOS you want to flash to (following BIOS's found to be best overclockers):
DIAMOND Radeon 4870: http://files.totalgamingnetwork.com/...r_file_id=1479
ASUS TOP Edition 4870: http://files.totalgamingnetwork.com/...r_file_id=1478
Radeon 4850: http://files.totalgamingnetwork.com/...r_file_id=1480
Now copy the BIOS you want to use onto the USB pen. I would rename the file to something short as it can be hard to remember the name when we want to flash later. It doesn't matter what it is called.
2:
In this demo i will be flashing from a modded BIOS back to the original, in your case, it'll be the other way. Principles are still the same though. Now, first thing we do is backup the original BIOS. Download the latest GPU-Z and run.
Make a note of the clock speeds and then press the picture of the black chip with a green arrow and select "Save to File...". Save it somewhere safe (like on another PC or USB pen).

Now, reboot your PC and tell it to boot from the USB Pen. You may have to tell it to do this via the BIOS, but most modern boards will let you choose on the fly.

4:
When you have booted into the USB stick, you will be confronted by a bit of info and then C:\. Type "Dir" and hit enter. This will show you the directory of your disk. Then type "atiflash.exe -f -p 0 xxxxx". "xxxxx" is the name of the BIOS you want to flash to.

Hit "Enter" and the new BIOS should be flashed like so:

Restart your PC, open GPU-Z and look for changes in the clock speeds for confirmation of success!
