    Whoa boy.

    Maybe upgrade the CPU only. That will tide you over until i7 becomes mainstream and prices of Q6600's or E8xxx's are low at the moment.

        The Q6 series are EOL so might be best going for the Q9 quads.

            all that stuff is nice but 6 months down the road when a 300$ cpu is faster than what you got you will be kicking yourself in the head going wtf was i thinking. just get the 940 or what ever that 260$ i7 is.
