internet prob..

I have posted a thread like this before but can't find it..

For some reason when I go to watch a movie on youtube or any other video site it takes AGES to load.. Like 5 minutes for about 40-60 seconds worth of clip..

I have restarted my modem and cleared my cache and cookies etc.. I have ADSL2+ and these are my speeds as of this very moment.




They are normally around 6000 v and 850 ^

Either way they are still suffice to load a clip on youtube, yet it seems to be struggling incredibly..

What could cause this?

Actually, you know what, your download is right around 512 KB/s and isn't that adsl speed?

Yeah router/modem in one.. At the moment I'm using a wireless laptop but even when I use my wired PC I get the same problem..

I don't know Here in Aus we don't get really high speeds..

YouTube is sh!t at the best of times, does it happen on other video sites?

Yeah pretty much all video sites and sometimes even just normal websites take ages to load.

Have you tried using a different browser?

Someone could be stealing your bandwidth. How are you securing your wireless network?

it has a network password on it :)

Is it hidden? Even a password does not secure you for very long, there is many free apps out there to break a wireless password.
