A change of GFX.

Ok, in my last thread i was talking bout the 96GT.

Well now, Cyberpower are offering me a free upgrade to an 8800GT

I went for it simple because it said *FREE UPGRADE* :p

So, many here on TGN have 88GTs' and that's great! so what should i expect?

If i remember rightly the 512mb 8800GT should be almost as good as the 8800GTX you have at home. The original 8800s where the G80 but then the second gen (G92) where more efficiant.

Well, at 17" it will be as good as a gtx. At higher resolutions, the GTX will pull away.

It will get a few more frames than the 9600GT in some games, and quite a bit more in other games.
