Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
When do you think we'll be able to use the internet in real-time? By that I mean no longer having to refresh pages to see new information. Kinda like that feature here on TGN that shows you new posts in real-time. Like that, but EVERYTHING, not just a plain list of new posts.
i know what your saying but your browser has to request packets from the server for you to receive data, otherwise the bandwidth uses would be exponentially larger than they need to be
AJAX and Silverlight (I think?) provide the 'real-time' effect... but for it to work perfectly you'd probably need to have a browser that 'connects' to the website, rather then just downloads the webpage to view, it would 'connect' and update when updates are made... for something like that, you'd need a much better server upload/download speed... so we'd probably have to wait till they have 1 Gb Ethernet as the 'public standard' rather then what it is now (roughly 1 Mb is public standard)
Though, I'm just guesing all that :/ either way technology changes so much, so it's hard to predict what the future will hold in the next 3-4 years... so we might see more focus on 'real-time' in that time or we might not...
BT have an FTH (fibre to the home) project in the pipeline but thanks to a recent offcom report our current cable backbone is capable of 'enough' for now so they havent brought it forward. The 2012 olympics should force the country to do a huge upgrade of the system as they will have live HD transmissions throughout the county. Maybes then we will see features like this making more sense.
