The benchmarks seem to show what is expected, you need to be running multithreaded apps to really see any benefit from the new architecture. Anyone currently running a quad core primarily for gaming probably shouldn't bother however as a media workstation these chips are looking superb.

I don't like the "new" naming scheme of the architecture, 3 digits, and a EE for extreme edition, like the Pentium 4s and Ds. Why not just something like i9650? Or copy AMD and tack on the number of cores at the end, eg. i9650x4.
