Re: Catalyst 8.10 Released
thanks for the 411!
good grief, it's about time they put some fan tweakage in there.
anyone know if ati tray tools and ati tool have been abandoned? i don't think i've seen an update in a fairly long time, and it was always nice to be able to overlay temps/fps using ati tray tools.Comment

Re: Catalyst 8.10 Released
while i'm always a tad envious of the bandwidth of you cross-ponders (and also Asia--S. Korea, Sing, Japan, etc...) i wonder what sort of stuff you can actually do with that sort of download speed, and how often do you find its a genuine benefit? i can see where if you enjoy movies, it would really help. maybe if you download a lot games/demo's, or share fairly large packages for software development, also.Originally posted by Alex98uk780mhz Core 1100mhz RAM

what other creative uses for that sort of bandwidth have you folks over there found? and does your ISP cap you to a certain gb/month? what's the upload speed? fast enough to set up basic box to be a vent server?Comment

Re: Catalyst 8.10 Released
Yes, i live in England. 24mb/s Internet is excellent for streaming high quality videos on BBC iPlayer, 4OD etc... also, I can download a 1GB file in a matter of minutes which is always useful.
Some ISP's limit how much you can download, but others are unlimited. We got the 24mb/s Bethere (Be Unlimited) package which has no limits.
It's nothing compared to my Uni which is connected to the "Super Janet" education research network. It has a 1gb/s backbone. I downloaded the new ATI catalyst 8.10 drivers at Uni instantly, i didn't have to wait a second.
Imagine the potential.Comment
