How easy is it to wire?

I have never wired a computer before but for my first build im wondering how easy it is to wire?

Would you say that it is easy to get confused? Or is it very easy

On a side note how long does it take to build a computer? 4 hours 5?

really well that's if you don't try to make it perfect i suppose.

I was wondering because i am going to be buying all the parts to my computer tomorrow and was a little unsure of how hard it is to wire it all up.

It will take a first timer more than 30 minutes.. It isn't really hard, most the cable are self explanatory. The hardest part I ever found on my first build was joining all those little USB and power/reset cables  but a quick look at the mobo manual and you're pretty well set.

took me about 2 hours, I didn't know that the 8 pin would split into 2 4 pins >_>

Wiring is very easy, however there are certain areas where you should be careful.

You will find you have to hook up the power switch, reset switch, HD LED etc... up to a small block of pins in the bottom right hand corner of the board. If you don't take care, it's easy to bend the pins and ruin the board. I have first hand experience of this! I nearly broke my brothers Asus P5K/EPU.

Some companies give you a mounting block, others don't, so take your time plugging them in and don't accidently catch and rip off one of the wires as they will take the pins with them!

afaik, asus is the only vendor that sells mobo with the pin standoff blocks. makes things very easy.

installing the heatsink will be tricky for a first time. just make sure you understand how the push/locking mechanism works before you start applying loads of pressure to the mobo. i also find it's handy to install the cpu/heatsink/fan outside the case, and then drop it in. your case has a mobo tray, so that may not be an issue.

also, for pete's sake--if you get the AC freezer 7 pro, take the fan off to install it. don't make an amateur mistake :)

hooking up the front panel audio leads with a sb card can be tricky, if your card even suports it.

Oh, and make sure you attach the backplate before you install the motherboard...

                            First hand experience:

Make sure all the standoffs in the case are lined up properly with the motherboard holes and there are no extras still in the case
