Which Keyboard should i get?

Well i narrowed my choices down to 2, and trust me i don't mind paying 50 quid for a keyboard as my mum has given me some present money as well as other family members have given me "present money" so all in all i got 500 quid, and want to get some good things out of it that i will benefit from.

Now i srsly need a Keyboard. I ruled out Saitek, i found Logitech's boards to be truly irresistible :p so i found out these two models the G11 or the G15.

G11 IMO, i personally wouldn't find the little screen useful, but that's probably because i have a second monitor.

But, if i had to get anything, it would still be a Saitek. They're basic, but the key response is second to none.

G15

Screen is useful if you use Ventrilio or TS people leaving and joining etc.

Has performance monitors as well I have the G15 Orange its great

G15.. It's un questionably the best keyboard.. The screen can be modified like crazy using a program called LCD studio which takes advantage of a whole range of monitoring programs.. So in essence you can have WHATEVER you want on your LCD.. From cpu temps to clock speeds, memory usage etc..

Just so you can have a brief idea of what I'm talking about, this is the first custom screen I made in LCD studio



It's only a simple one but like I said you can put anything and everything on there.

Generally you don't have to be as picky with keyboards as with a game mouse...

But the G11 is good, and if you feel like in a big spender mood go for the G15. They're identical pretty much except for the tiny screen on the G15.

Umm G11 sounds a tad more appealing as i wont be using the LCD Screen, i thought there was more of a difference in the keyboards. The reason for not using the LCD is that i dont use TS, and i monitor my temps onmy Object Dock.

Thnx a heap for all the opinions the G15 sounds rally interesting but srsly i thought there was bigger differences than just an LCD screen. Thnx again everyone i wl be going with the G11.

If you want a screen, buy a small 17" flat panel for dual monitors. I put Vista Sidebar on my 2nd screen and have TS and all my hardware monitoring on it.

Question off topic: can you play on dual monitors using both?

No, apart from WiC which supports dual screens.

You don't realise how useful dual monitors are until you have them!

You don't realise how useful dual monitors are until you have them!

Indeed, every work process speeds up because you dont have to constantly minimize, maximise or switch between windows. Dual monitors FTW

I ordered the G11 from Ebuyer, it should have been here tonight, but City link canceled it and i have to wait till bloody Monday to get it :s

I've got the Eclipse aswell great keyboard although my S and D keys are starting to wear and I wouldn't find a mini screen that helpful either.

Call saitek, i reckon they would send you new keys if its still under warrenty!
