Following up on word that publisher Electronic Arts was readying a line of Crysis-ready PCs, more details, including pricing and system specifications, have surfaced.

Priced at $699, the one and only Crysis Warhead PC was made with the involvement of EA, game developer Crytek, hardware maker Nvidia, and system builder UltraPC. It will launch alongside Crysis Warhead on September 16, and pack the following:

* CPU: Intel Core Duo e7300 (@2.66GHz)
* Video card: Nvidia 9800GT
* RAM: 2GB

Doesn't look too bad for $700, I wonder what motherboard's in there and if it's overclockable.

And I have that exact same case :awes

Now that we know the full specs, anyone want to beat the prebuilt in value? Looks like they skimped a bit on the mobo, and the PSU is probably generic.

I'm thinking you can build that yourself for $700, if not less. It's supposed to be a "Crysis-ready" PC but they don't even include the expansion with it?

Heres my take, this may sound good for people who do not want to build or ar lazy to build a PC and will just go with a pre-built such as this one.

Honestly though looks cheap to me, but in anyways good enough mid-range.

Well, maybe not on the very very highest settings, but good enough for most people...

Warhead should be better optimized than Crysis too...

Only issues are 2gb of RAM may be a little small for Vista and Crysis and the CPU isn't overclocked (i suspect the BIOS is locked down)

It doesn't say anything about coming with an OS though. Plus you get stuck with a crappy mobo.
