So I picked up a Q6600 that was advertised as being an SLACR (G0 stepping, out in 2007) on ebay for $160. It got here today and it's clearly an SL9UM and was mfg'd in 2005. So not only did I get a 3 year old processor instead of a one year old one, I'm also getting less desirable power and thermal characteristics out of the B3.
Just how much worse are the B3's than the G0's? Is it worth fighting with the company over it?
