Which one's better? They're $5 apart and the only major difference is that the EP35 has an extra PCI slot (2 vs. 3), which I probably won't use anyways.

Essentially they are the same. Other non-important differences is the ASUS board has E-SATA which the Gigabyte board does not and the Gigabyte board has coaxial audio out while the Asus board does not.
Honestly, you can't really go wrong with either one. I mean, they're practically the same thing. -

I own the gigabyte board and really reccomend it
the northbridge and southbridge heatsinks on the gigabyte one are coppper which is better than the aluminum heatsink on the Asus one
plus the asus motherboards colour is like when you throw up after a really bad curry :laugh:Comment

Re: Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3L vs. Asus P5K SE EPU
That's exactly what I was thinking lol, wtf is wrong with the designers at Asus? Curry brown does not look good in computers! I guess $5 is worth it for a better color, NB/SB heatsinks, and an extra PCI slot.
But what about software? I know Asus comes with Asus AI, Q-fan and stuff like that, but what about the Gigabyte one?Comment
