i've had some logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo for probably close to 2 years, and i've never had a problem. then all of a sudden the mouse started chewing through batteries like they were nothing. i used to get a couple months on 2 AA batteries. the last couple months it's gotten worse, and most recently, i gave it new batteries 5 days ago and they are already dead. i'm about to go get a new mouse since they're cheap, but if anyone could tell me what the hell it's doing, that would be terrific.:thumbsup:

I dont know what the warrenty in on them but u might wanna try calling logitech to see if its still under. My old MX518's pads where worn down and the sensor was jumping from time to time so i called them expecting them to say we will send u some new pads but they sent me a whole new mouse!
The best bonus of it for me was that i just soldered a new cable on to the 'broken' one so now i have 2

I had that. I got a black logictech wireless mouse/keyboard combo and not long into its life it started doing the same thing.
Then the keyboard goes haywire, or at least mine did, suddenly doing random inputs itself.
Cheap batteries make a difference, but stuff like Duracell can get expensive. My advice? get an MX518, its wired, but you hardly notice it and its absolutely brilliant. Cheaper in the long run than constantly getting batteries.Comment
