    HP G7035ea

my dad recently brought HP G7035ea for my mother birthday which was today.

we have a problem with it starting up for the first time.

    it brings up an error:
"windows could not complete the installation, to install windows on this computer. Restart the installation" and the only option is to restart.

the cpu and amount of processes keep fluctuating.

we have tried restarting and it didn't work, i have done a quick google search and couldnt come up with anything.

any help would be nice and if you need any more info feel free to ask.

RMA to HP and say the thing doesn't work.

I have a colleague who bought an HP laptop from Circuit City and had tonnes of problem with improperly installed heatsink. He RMA to HP and got it fixed in 5 days. Still within warranty, no charge.

I've used HP's recovery a couple times with no problems. you just boot into a special utility on the disk and choose full restore. It wipes out everything on the disk and restores the factory image.
