The ATI 3650 is an awful gaming card.

It is old, a low end part and will not play much on high. Using 2 of them in Crossfire is really quite silly. It's combining two awful products to make one bad product. 2 Cards in Crossfire will not really effect BF2 greatly.

If you want something cheap and for gaming, look at the ATI Radeon 4850.

Probably not a lot of point in getting a 3870 due to the anti aliasing issue. the new 4670 cards will be coming soon.

I recommend anyone and everyone on a budget get an ATI 4850/4870. Go all out and get the highest quality you can afford in the beginning so you don't have to keep purchasing low-medium end cards every few months.

I'm using 3870 now, but I can't recommend this card. I bought this card because there was a good offering on Newegg for $129.99 (free shipping $30 MIR, still waiting) at the time. In just a few month this card will be underperformed by new game titles. Heck it sucks at Crysis and barely handles COD4. For BF2, any of these card overkills and they are dirt cheap right now:

                9600GT
                3870
                3850
                8800GS
                8800GT

Don't go anything inferior than these cards.

                  1. Can't recommend Phenom x3 8650 for gaming. Heck I can't recommend it for any purpose. Any reason that you are looking for AMD system for the moment? I am waiting for 45nm Deneb, so I bought a very cheap CPU for the time. Cheap 5200 or new 5400+ should do the trick, but Intel definitely has better CPU for gaming.

                  2. 790FX motherboards are all power hog. You should get 780a or 790GX instead.

                  3. For nvidia card, if you get 780a motherboard then you can use Hybridpower to shutdown some of nvidia cards when not gaming.

                  4. What brand the type of the 600W PSU it that?
