Both have 12MB L2, both are 45nm and both are clocked at 3.0GHz. What's the difference that made the 2x price difference?

The unlocked multiplier makes hardcore overclocking easier.

yeah they figure if you have the money for cooling and having everything else on your rig being really fancy then you MUST have enough to get shafted by theyre high prices
