    Quad core quandary

As I mentioned previously, I have held back half of my PC order in order to take advantage of Intel's Q3 price cuts. Well, it looks like they've arrived, and the Q9450 has remained fairly steady (only a £5 price drop on retail to £199.62 on Scan) while the Q9550 has been slashed to £223.12. As such, I need to decide whether or not it's worth paying the extra £23 for a 2.83GHz CPU as opposed to 2.66GHz. I assume this will make little difference in real world stock performance, but does the Q9550 overclock significantly better than the 9450, making the premium worth it?

I would go cheaper..Because its the luck of the draw..If you pay for the most expensive one you might get a bad OC'er

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, especially when you take the price; clockspeed ratio into account.
