Yes, but they are handled natively by Windows.

That's odd, fyi I'm talking about the numbers 123 above QWE not the num pad keys.
Saitek don't make drivers for the Eclipse keyboards. What drivers are you using?

Yup, they work fine for me.

The drivers i refer to are the ones Windows automatically installs when setting up the OS, you don't see them.

Sometimes they can be the wrongs ones or aren't installed properly and so extra multimedia keys etc... don't work.

Am I the only one who actually likes the Dell keyboards (probably the only thing I would willingly buy from them)? Yeah I know the OP wants multimedia keys, but the Dell keyboard is great and compact, no extra keys, good enough for gaming, I've never noticed any conflicting keys near WASD.

I know what you mean. In my work place, there are a few of these Dell compact keyboards. They are very good looking and there is even one with multimedia keys and a volume dial!! I've checked the price on Dell.com and it listed $30 before shipping. However, old games such as Star Control II may trigger key lock, because ctrl, alt and shift keys are often configured as player control keys.

But, on a second thought, they are not very ergonomically designed. They are good for casual office use, but, without a wrist rest, it's not really that comfortable.

Thanks for all you guys! I know you guys will give the best suggestion based on your experience. I'll be watching for low price alert once there is one with G15/G11.

              I'm talking about these:

They're $23 in the Dell online store, I got mine with my Dimension like 3 years ago, still works perfectly, and I don't type properly so I don't care about the ergonomics. :p . But I don't know if I would pay $23 + shipping for one.

I've got one, but it doesn't half rattle. The double size space bar is useful though (which is part of the reason fro me choosing an Eclipse II. :) )

                    To clarify:
If you hold S & D the 2 and 3 keys do not respond.
If you hold S & A the 1 and 2 keys do not respond.

You can try this in notepad by holding the 2 keys and trying the relevant number key, it does not respond.
I read somewhere (which I cant find again) that all keyboards use some kind of matrix, which is only able to detect certain combinations of key presses due to technical limitations.
Quality gaming keyboards will have the matrix designed so that the "gaming" keys can be pressed simultaneously.

I like my G15v2. I must admit I haven't used the screen for game info, but it is very nice for running FRAPS or monitoring system temps. Use it together with LCDStudio.

One of the things I like best about it is also one of the simplest: A built in USB (1.1) hub, with channels in the bottom of the keyboard for routing the cable to your mouse pad. No more of the mouse cable getting entangled or dragging on something, you can have exactly the length you want to.

ETA: Oh yeah, and it has a nifty switch for disabling the "Windows" key, if you are one of those who often leave games unintentionally that way

I'm on the Saitek eclipse now, and oh my word, it's a revelation! The backlighting is a gimmick in my opinion, but the keys are so much more comfortable. The only issue is that they're a bit wider spaced than the Dell, so I'm making loads of typos atm.

I had the EclipseII and I returned it and got my G11. I also had problems with holding multiple keys, and the Caps Lock keep kept getting real hard to push down.
