Wow, that is fast. However, i think that the lifetime for dual core is coming to an end. They may offer good performance now, but in a years time i reckon more applications will be multithreaded and quad cores would be beneficial.

I usually have TV turner on the screen even when I'm not watching, and the dual core hold it well. I should certainly get a tri- or quad-core CPU in the future, but the price is still bad to me. However, I found that most of the time most people don't need more than one core. So, I think dual core system are still very viable, though it will not be fit for gaming in the near future.

Yeah, i would see these CPU's as something to tide you over until Nehalem is cheaper and more accessible to the average consumer.
