ok compare a G5 mouse to a Razor DeathAdder mouse.

i got this razor mouse it seems to be great but everyone talks about the G5 kind of like people talk about the 8800GT when they speak of gpus

I'll see if there are any updates, but it worked just fine when I had my old PC. Thanks for the input, I'll take a look around.

I had the first gen G5 (one button mouse) and had the same problem. Logitech had some firmware updates that seemed to correct it for me. I now use a different mouse though and it seems more accurate than the G5.

Make sure you have "enhanced pointer precision" checked under the mouse pointer options in control panel...

    started a topic Mouse Accuracy

    Mouse Accuracy

Best section I could find to put this in. It applies to multiple games (BF2/CSS/etc.) so putting it in a specific game section didn't seem appropriate.

Basically, I'm on my brothers laptop - and have hooked up my G5 mouse for gaming, specific games include: CSS/Combat Arms/BF2. However, I've noticed that while ingame (as in playing, not the menu screen) I'm not able to aim at certain pixels/parts of the screen.

It's not like there's a "dead zone" where I can't aim everytime I play, it's more like there are random pixels that I can't move my crosshair into. I think it may be a sensitivity issue, but it just seems weird that the mouse moves fine normally, but when ingame (for both games) there are areas where I can't aim.

If anybody has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks.
