    [Guide] Passive Cooling mod

Just a small ghetto mod today for those with passive cooled graphics cards (those without fans). Probably won't help Tech Centre whores, but it might be useful to pass on.

ATI Tool gives false temp readings! In this guide use Speedfan's Temps!!!

    Stock 7600gs card:

So, i half inched my brothers passive 7600gs. These are the stock idle and load temps:

    Idle:

    Load:

    ...

Now, with a low RPM fan and cable ties i made this monstrosity:

You'll notice the idle temps don't vary that much, but check the load temps

    Idle:

    Load:

    Yup, 15c drop.

So, if you have a friend with a hot passive card, pass them this. All it requires is 4 wire tires which i looped through the fan and the cards heatsink/heatpipe.

ROFL... not recommended if you've got a windowed case.

Oh, it's not windowed, but I'm guessing that it's not very good if my card is sitting at 51 degrees Celsius idling is it?

Hmmm, I do have an extra case fan...lets do this!!!!

Then we can overclock to the BILLIONS!!!
