I think i can get a Windows Professional Disc, but the COA says Media Center, does that matter?
I just need to put in the Code when it asks me to register?

Does anyone know if this will work?

It might work, but I would recommend using the same type of os disc to restore, as you will need to get the official disc and run a repair install, to get all the new fresh files put onto your system, using a media center disc might break something during the restore process as there might be more files specific to just Windows XP Professional that need to be replaced that are not correctly replaced with a Media Center PC disc.

Can you right click on your desktop and select properties (safe mode or not)? You should be able to reset the desktop icons and theme from there.
