Get a laptop good for games only whne you shift to the uni dorms or get your PC in your dorm (something that is impossible for me), imo stick with the beast you have in your sig

Sub £700 gaming laptops don't really exist, so it's hard to recommend one. TBH, consider how often you'll actually want to game while out and about.

              Cyberpower PC UK google it,

              Rock UK Laptops.
Actually sorry, i would NOT go with Rock Laptops, i just checked the prices and to tell you the truth i can build two PCs not one TWO with the prices they are offering plus with the VAT my God i just want to hide my wallet.

              Cyberpower is better:

Custom built systems including Desktop Gaming PCs, Gaming Notebooks, and Workstations. Award winning gaming desktop and laptop with legendary performance.

cheapest from Cyberpower, plus the one you picked out aint half bad either.

^ Dont know bout that, but from what i have seen recently Rock is becomig an Alienware look alike.

I'd say order from the US, Sager Laptops cheep and good, hell i even own one from Sager.

Wait until external video card technology matures. But even if there is something like that on the market that can deliver 3D wonder, laptop CPUs are still slower, and its RAM and architecture are no match for the desktop. The reason that more laptops sold than desktop last year is because most people aren't gamers, and gamers are migrating to console gaming. Mobile gamers mostly use DS or PSP. Today's laptops are good with games that released before 2002. Anything after that requires some computing power. High-end laptops aren't worth it, unless somebody pays for you.
