    Xps 630

Is this just a irish model or can it be purchased anywhere?

I got about 2000euro to spend, i think i can get a pretty decent model for that money nowadays. What would you pick from these?

What size monitor are you using/going to use? (resolution would be most useful.)

don't buy these brand rigs at all, they can be as much as 2X more expensive if you build your own.

              ^ Correctemundo!

If you just get a pre-built which some people say is "easier" than building your own it will cost you 50% or more than the actual price you should be paying.

Never, ever spend on branded gaming rigs, if you don't know how to build one, ask around here.

Some people here can give you advice that can save you a 1000 euros commission free.

And Dell locks down their BIOS so you can't OC. At least they started using ATX power supplies down so you can replace them without going to Dell.

That must have cost a lot to have a 8800gtx and 2x8800gt.

Don't even consider buying Dell unless you have more money than sense.

What is there not to love about branded systems?
                        You get:
                        • No OS CD, but instead some recovery CD with their own malware preinstalled
                        • Their own "special" version of ATX that makes them impossible to upgrade
                        • Discount versions of new GFX cards that are outperformed by 3 year old cards

And all that for only twice the price of a self-built one.

Don't forget out of date motherboard chipsets that are about as stable as anti matter.

                            Dell mobos are BTX iirc.

And they want me to add $200 for a Q6600, $100 for a HD 3650 256mb, and $50 for an extra gig of 667mhz RAM to a E530. ffs I can go to Frys and pick up 4 gigs of Corsair PC6400 for $50.

Actually, Dell now use ATX since CustomPC magazine ripped them apart for using BTX.
