    G5 mouse problem

I have a strange problem with my G5 (the new blue style) that I can't figure out.

Whenever I hit button4 (the foremost thumb button) it resets the sensitivity real low.
It ONLY happens while in-game, and this sucks because I use that button to talk on TS. I have to minimize the game, open then close setpoint, then maximize the game to restore my sensitivity.
It didn't happen when I first got the mouse, maybe 4-5 weeks after. I updated to the newest setpoint version and it didn't fix anything.
I found a few threads in the logitech support forums with the same issue but they aren't any help. They seem to be ignoring the problems.

Also, I've tried all combinations of settings in setpoint : game detection, OS implementation, Setpoint implementation, etc..... nothing changes the problem.
