I called logitech today claiming that my mouse was damaged. In actual fact the pads have completely worn down and the sensor does have a tendancy (when on highest sensitivity) to move a very slight amount by itself. After explaining to them the problem, they ran through a few suggestions (daft obvious things which i said i had tried) and they agreed to send me a new mouse... just liek that. Iv had the thing what must be about 2-3 years and its served me well, good to get a free replacement i must say and anyone else who has a logitech mouse within warrenty GO GIVE THEM A CALL AND JUST BLAG IT. All you have to do is send them the snipped off usb cord from your exsisting mouse.
Not sure if i will get another MX518 or maybe a G5... either way is fine for me :)
