    foobar2000 - Minimize to Tray

Where's the option to not minimize foobar to the system tray? I feel stupid, since I've found it before. :?

It doesn't minimise to tray unless you install ColumnsUI as far as I know :S If you have it installed, it'll be in Preferences -> ColumnsUI. If not, you just suck. Since we're on the topic, have you got any decent skins for foobar? I'm getting sick of bland old default, but I can't find any awesome skins that I'd want to use on a daily basis :|

If you are running columnsUI (I am) you can turn minimize to tray off by going to

Display-> ColumnsUI -> Notifications area tab.

        Alright, got it. (finally, damn.)

Enjoy the awesome presented in this Hydrogenaudio thread: the Columns UI screenshot thread.

        Sample of thread OP's post.

Also, foobar hates recognizing album art sources.

EDIT2: Ah, I found the link to /g/'s favorite: http://www.neugablonz.de/index.php?seite=foobar3

for some reason, i couldn't get the custom skin add on to work...

if i could get it to work, i'd like to give it a try.

Re: foobar2000 - Minimize to Tray

It's a music player that plays pretty much anything. If there's a filetype for music, chances are foobar plays it one way or another. It also can be tweaked for greater quality of output, all while keeping very low CPU usage. I've got around 9000 songs in a playlist on it, which when I load up does so in a flash. The same playlist would take ages to load up in WMP. I'm still needing a skin other than default too, there are ****loads around but people don't seem to enjoy sharing their customisations :|

                  ew, memory hog.

as pennywise said, foobar = amazing media player that needs very little resources to run.

                        This

I started using foobar probably over a year ago now on my old PC, since it couldn't handle the huge growth in playlist since on WMP and CoD2 at the same time. Now I don't have that problem, but I prefer using it anyway because it plays all my .flac files (and the odd .ape file I have scooting around ).

Foobar seems to improve the quality of the tracks somehow, I don't know if its just me being more 'tuned in' today or something, but it seems that way. Louder too.
