    2x ASUS EN8600GT & ram

    I'm using 2 x ASUS EN8600GT SLI 512mb each
    but got 2 gig ram
my question: does it make a big diffrence if i had 4 gig ram? cuz i have been told XP doesn't support 4 gig ram ..

xp home/pro does not support 4GB or ram only the 64bit version does

And that goes for VISTA as well only the 64bit version only

If you have good ram like OCZ , kinston , samsung 2GB ram will do

Whilst it doesnt support the full 4 gig you can still run like 3.3GB of it (or something liek that) 2GB is fine but with the prices of DDR2 atm, if your machine needs a bit of a boost then i say why not eh.

On the otherhand 8800GTs can be picked up for around £100 in the UK so i imagine they should be reasonably cheap elsewhere too. One of them should probs outperform two 8600s in SLI

I'll only pick up 3gb of RAM, because the 1gb of graphics RAM will take away from the total of 4gb.

        And yes, 1x8800GT > 2x8600GTs.
