All chat config prob

I hit /quit alot too, it's no biggie to change it, I've even got it binded lol

mm i always type it back into my console
if i have played bfe but it's not anoying me if i can't see the whining in pub's

there's some coding in the mod that sets all those settings back to normal if you /disconnect. so /quit, alt+f4 will leave bfe settings in your cfg (unless you set it to read only).

basically, set your cfg to read only, or /disconnect from bfe servers before quitting. (i prefer the read only thingy)

Oooh I had same prob for aaaaaaaaaaaages now, chat messages vanished after like 1 second, impossible to read even a few words.
Thx alot, that got so annoying!!! always had to open console and reat chat messages there :S

The "cg_ChatTime 1200" was fixed in last BFE update, but those who still get "cg_ChatTime 1200" just need to "/seta cg_ChatTime 12000" in console and that won't get set back down to 1200, as for cg_TeamChatsOnly, I'll look into a new dvar, which should fix this...

Make your normal config read only, that way bfe doesnt change it

make a seperate config for bfe, that way your bfe name doesnt show in public

Similar problem, my chat only seems to come up for like 2secs, then disappears again, so i have no time to read it, any cure?

Hey guys,

Since i've played in the Bfe server, my config is being a bitch. I can type all chat but I cant read it, team chat seems to be working fine. Anyone know the code to fix it. I know its in my config because other profiles let me. Now you would say just use them. But thats not really an option since i've got tweaks and everything which would take some time to do again.

So if anyone could help me out or know which commands I can have a go at please pm, xfire or leave your message here!
