FPS Improvement.

Wll, I don't really have a high-end computer and I want to get the best graphics with a good FPS, but it is around 20 FPS. So I was hoping you would help me with this. I have ATI Radeon X1650Pro, 2.8 GHz Single core processor, 1.5 GB of RAM and so on... currently CoD4 is on 800x600, textures on Normal and all other things are off or low. It doesn't matter what resolution I put on it's still the same.

Please help me.

Turn of anti-aliasing and increase the resolution. You really won't notice the difference unless you're touring the map. You have a x1650 and single core machine, which are the problems to be frank. That means that you need to spend precious money.

resolutin does make a diff just not a huge on, do some simple commands to get rid of crap you dont need, cg_brass 0 for example, doesnt do alot but in the long run, all the small things will make a bigger difference

AA is off from the beginning I done all the /brass /drawsun and stuff

dinamic lights === low @7 fps and high @12fps so low or off

antiailising should be off

bilinier is best for your spec


also try in console
/r_drawsun 0
/r_drawwater 0
/r_drawdecals 0 (i use this command on grassy maps even though my fps are above 90 it makes things easier to see !

(this command may get you kicked from some servers but you can change to default "1" and be fine to rejoin)this has great ability to up your fps by alot

also ste MAXFPS TO 125

/com_maxfps 125

THIS WILL DEFFO HELP YOU MIGHT NOT NEED TO USE ALL BUT I WOULD AND THEN JUST PUT BACK ON ONE AT A TIME AND SEE WHAT AFFECTS YOU THE MOST .

Thanks Path, I had done all but the /r_drawwater and bilinear textures, I'm gonna try it out.
Do you know if /r_drawdecals 0 is allowed in BFE?
Where can I change Power settings?

yes thay are only ladscale and rigid commmands are detected !!!!!

i use decals command on bfe (easier to see people over wlls and stuff but dont shoot me )

I took of the sun and the decals and it gave me 10 more fps. Not that I really needed it but a little extra can help a lot.

i really dont know why people have to change there settings, or edit there config its an abuse of the game in my eyes using things like this to gain an advantage is shocking. I play on bog standards settings everything on high 80-100 fps, is what i get dont change nothing dont see the point. fps doesnt make you play any better, it just helps in the choppyness of the game in low fps areas.

fps can change how u play, u go play with 10 fps, ur gunan get fked royaly, u play with 100 fps, its smooth as hell and u can kill alot easier

I agree, make sure you go into your texture settings too, not just the graphics area and edit things to your liking.
