Windows vista 32bit or 64 bit

Which should i go with and why? Windows vista 32bit or 64 bit. Any compadibity issue.
I have amd 64 dual core black edition cpu and 4 gigs of memory

Not really sure which to go with, i know ive been using 32bit for over a year with little to no issues. I think alot of it would depend on the machine you run it on. Which im guessing will handle it otherwise you wouldnt pose the question.

Correcto. Everyone should be on 64bit anyway, and the fact that 32bit programs are still being made is a bit of a joke. You can only have up to around 3.2GB of (usable) RAM with a 32bit OS, whereas with 64bit you can have like 128GB (or TB, I can't remember). Drivers are harder to come by for 64bit Vista, but they are becoming more common as long as you know where to look.

you will still get the use out of 4gb ram on 32 bit but the address space uses it (board componants pcie ect ) i have dual boot 64 and 32 bit tbh i think atm that 32 has better compatable drivers and the benchmark suggest that there is a whisper difference in performance as most apps and games are 32 bit they will bottle neck ( i also use a huge amount more ram on 64 than 32 just idleing. I think that if you require alot of high end app processing (cad and such then 64 but for games and general use i always use 32 vista even on a 64bit duo / you wont physically see the diffence for normal use and my vista 32 sp1 runs stable very fast and never a prob '(your system will see 400gb ram and it will still be used!!!

32 bit has a 4gb max address limit /so no more than 4 gb

I use x64 in the hope that x264 will someday, somehow, get a x64 binary released along with meGUI & Avisynth. Then I would cry tears of joy.
