New mod release removed all favourites, graphical settings

I also cannot join any of the BFE servers while it is active. I get no error, only 'Server Disconnected'.

You may have been joining the wrong server? :? Try loading CoD4 and loading the BFE mod in the mods option, then see if that helps?

I tried this to no avail. When I loaded regular CoD up it was all the same thing. I found if I joined by the Xfire server browser it joins okay though.

It also will not save 'favorite servers' now either. If there is anything else I can do to try and recreate the problem please let me know.


@Medic: 'Ok.' is not very helpful. This thread is only to acknowledge problems I've encountered that may or may not be repeatable. I'd request that you don't simply post 'Ok.' unless you are acknowledging a previous post.

Are you using vista? The mod shouldn't overwright any binds, unless Jack has tried to introduce the "save config temp" feature so that cg_teamchatsonly will revert to 1 when you disconnect, but I don't think thats it.

Config file is stored in your profile/name/ folder - open the config_mp.cfg with Wordpad and check to see if your binds are still there. Unless you use another config that you execute within the /main/ folder? Which only works on "stock" servers (I think, can't test at Uni)

I don't know about Favourite servers, where are you supposed to save favourite servers? In the browser somewhere? I never really use that one... but if you tell me, I should be able to save a favourite server and find out where it is stored, it could be in the config_mp but I'm not sure...

Where do you get "Server Disconnected?" Is it when you load up CoD4, load up BFE mod, then go to the browser and try to connect to a server? Or by /connect IP.IP.IP.IP:Port ? - I don't think you can join "normal servers" when you have the BFE mod loaded, since it would be a mod mismatch, but it should just "load the default mod" for the server you try to join...

Maybe try deleting the BFE mod? Keeping screenshots/demos - remove all the IWD files and FF files in your BFE mod folder

I'm on XP, SP2.
All of my binds were gone from my configfile. It was as if it was a completely new install.
I am unaware where the favorites save, but if you go to the server browser, up top where you go LOCAL, INTERNET, FAVORITES, is where you set them.

I get 'server disconnected' after the map loads. I can join either of the battle servers directly from stock CoD4, it will close and reopen with the mod - and automatically be joining the server. Right after the map loads the game crashes.

With Xfire, it loads right into the mod (I don't know how tbh) and I get no crashes that way. Once I'm in game there are no problems.
