Multiplayer gone :(

Hi all

I have recently re-installed COD4 on my PC, after I had to install Vista. This is because my motherboard supported Vista better than XP. It worked for about a week, and then one day, it just tried to load multiplayer.

What exactly happens is that it loads the game, changes res, comes back out and says that something caused it to close/stop working.

Any help will be appreciated.

Have you updated with the new patches before you started playing again
also it might still be a problem for some you might need to turn xfire off before launching the game
these are the probs i had so this is all i know

Nope, turned off xfire, patched it up done everything.

Ran it as a admin? maybe make it run in xp mode too.

Found out reason. If anybody else has a prob with COD4 multiplayer, and you
get a message saying iw3mp.exe has stopped working, uninstall then re-installaudio drivers
