DONT GET EITHER. the 9 series are coming out in a couple of months, would be a waste of money to buy a 8 series now.

And how much will this cost ? 500£ ?

In the world of technology, no matter what you buy, no matter at what time theres always going to be new and more powerful technology which will deem the older ones obsolete. But theres an upside. If your rich you dont have to worry about this problem but for now I'm not :P

So is it not ironic that people upgrade their computers at all :) Its all madness tbh :O

The 8800GT is THEE best buy right now. The GTS and GTX versions are just overclocked versions of the GT.

                Newegg.com has the 8800GT for about $250

Actually hellboy, the 8800 gt is an overclocked version of the 8800 gts with more VRAM.

I've got the 8800 gts 320mb, Its runs everything fine on high at 70 - 90 fps. I really don't care for top of the line cards because guess what, you are just wasting your money waiting for the newer cards when you can get todays cards for less.

Dont count your chickens before they hatch there. There had not even been a 8900 yet.

                        Twig is right i have a 8800 GTS 320 i love it!
