iexplorer crashes

i've hardly been able to use the internet recently, i continually get crashes of IE and it's seriously p***ing me off. any ideas here, it started to do it about 5 days ago and hasn't stopped since.

this is just about the most continual use i've had out of the net since it started. it happens when i use a link or type a try to go to a new site.

i get the windows "iexplorer.exe. has had a problem yadda yadda yadda!" and the details of this are :

ModVer: 6.0.2900.3231 Offset: 0003b5ce

i dont know what any of that means.

any ideas? just so i can use the net again.

(fyi - virus scan / adware etc all run already + no new settings changed to **** it up. i tend not to fiddle)

reinstall IE7, it means you have a corrupt install of IE7 (i think) or try a restart. If you have used xfire and it works for you i'm surprised, if you havn't then i doubt it will work.
