All chat help

Heyo,

So after I downloaded the bfe mod, it disables all chat so you can't talk to the other team, and only team chat is enabled. So after I left and joined random pub server, my all chat doesn't work.

What's the command to manually enable all chat in my config file? In CoD2 it fixed itself after you leave the bfe servers.

Did you try going to options and turning it back on lol ?!

Bfe mods need some editing. My weapon slots were renamed to "Custom slot #"

go into a server and type /cg_teamchatsonly 0

and i thought teamchat was disabled in all those servers :s, now i found the problem

The mod for me also stopped me being able to pick a different weapon lol but i couldnt launch without the mod so had to delte them thanks for the command also as i need that :)

i tried taking the downloaded mods out of the mods folder but these problems seem to persist on public servers. can it be done this way? it`s quite annoying when you go back to pub play and can`t even say hello ;-)

Will the mods be fixed in future so this doesn`t happen?

This issue is now fixed.

For people who still have this problem due to using an older version of the mod: removing the mod files will not solve this, the problem was dvars based, you must use the console to set the following dvars to the stated values.

cg_chatHeight 8
cg_chatTime 12000
cg_teamChatsOnly 0

The fix in the new version of the mod only works if you exit via the menu, if you use /quit the fix wont work.
