mod.ff download not downloading

Went to try and join on today and have been having trouble, keeps on saying I need to download mod.ff which is all of 87 kbs yet won't download at all. Just eventually goes to server timed out. Connecting to the server itself is fast taking only a few seconds but then it just hangs up for no reason.

Any suggestions or help?

Playing with the direct2drive patched version if that helps anyone.

Same problem here. I have the retail version. I did make sure that I had allow downloads turn on.

Delete all the mods in your mod folder then reconnect. Also make sure you are connecting to the server that is up. As some of the servers were down today.

I got in when the server switched to the US server and it was able to download the mod.ff file.

Not sure why it didn't download on the European server or maybe they just hate us americans.

Will get back to the killing on wensday.

i think u tried to download it of euro server 2, which was broken yesterday

I assumed such after hearing what was happening with the server, i didn't know if it was just me or was a problem other people were having it sucked because i wasn't able to play until the last match of the round.

But it is fixed now which is what really matters.
