IMO, i would go with an Nvidia 8800 GT. Its more money but will be better in the long run. I just built a comp (getting it for christmas) with a 8800 GT superclocked. i did lots research and looked at benchmarks for cod4 and the 8800 cards beat the Radeon cards in everything. check it out here http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/...iew/page12.asp

The HD 3850 will run cod4 fine though.
If you want an ATI card go with a HD 3870 or 2900 XT. just my input.

You have to understand that VonBarter is an AMD/ATI fan. He probably knows there are better or faster things out...but doesn't want nvidia or Intel. They look good Von, nice

I can debate this though the ATI and AMD benefits - cost and quality ,never have I lost a CPU or video card from either product. Current testing standards are in favor for Nividia cards even Tom hardware mentioned that in an article once. So ATI just gets screwed and even though were talking Nano seconds differences. AMD is 64 bit enough said here....Intel Nie....Though it in the making ..... Microsoft screwed AMD by delaying 64 bit OS and it full of bugs and not widely supported yet. ATI has a team making high end video drivers for Linux users - Intel - Nividia Nie....... ATI and AMD products are way cheaper unless you live in Europe(euro vs dollars) and have cash to burn. Over clocking is easy too with AMD and ATI. You should buy AMD and ATI products because of of cost and benefits analysis I just gave enjoy. Finally if you all buy ATI and Nividia product then there will be no competition to Intel and Nividia and you will pay top dollar and quality and innovation will go down.
