An 8600gt is an absolutely horrible card and will only play Crysis on medium at 1024x768 or below.

Bad advice, don't buy this PC

Well they are wrong. They should have used the 9600gt which is £20 more, but performance matches an 8800gt.

There cannot be any excuse for buying an 8600gt.

You'll regret the 8600. For a stopgap solution it's fine, but if you're building a whole new computer, it's just stupid.

Anyways, wouldn't this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102725 be a better deal? It's 512mb of GDDR3 memory, as opposed to the 8600GT that only comes with 256mb GDDR3 or 512mb DDR2. 8 bucks cheaper too.

The price of 9800GTX's just dropped to 200, which is an awesome price point.

But 4850 beats it in most stuff..And that was before the new hotfix that ATI released the other day...And only £130~ here and $199.99 in the states..better than 9800GTX...thats why nvidia is bringing out 9800GTX+

I would wait to pick up a 4850 once the gddr5 version comes out.
