Hard Drive Wiping

I have a hard drive with a virus on it and want to wipe it clean with nothing on it while being a slave to this computer and not get the damn virus on this one.

Any suggestions on software?

Open Computer Management, navigate to Disk Management and delete the partitions of the second drive.

Or

Put your windows installation disc in the drive, reboot and get to the part of Windows Setup where it shows you the disc partitions and drives and delete partition where the virus is and format it.

Or if you can use a CentOS LiveCD

http://mirror.unl.edu/centos/5.1/isos/i386/CentOS-5.1-i386-LiveCD.iso

and burn it to a disk then reboot your machine.

Then you can follow this guide which is somewhat similar to what camper posted.

You only do that when your trying to destroy the data and the drive. Then you pop it in a fire. He is trying to start fresh with the drive.

well..... nothin would work so i said screw it and blew it up with some old m80's
